We are looking to partner with college student organizations for volunteer and fundraising activities.
The Edutech Legacy Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to establishing sustainable computer labs in schools, equipping them with state-of-the-art technology. These labs are more than just infrastructure - they are powerful tools that develop students' digital literacy skills, crucial for success in the digital age. By enhancing the learning journey, the foundation instills a sense of empowerment in students, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
The global impact of COVID-19 on education was profound. With schools closed and students unable to attend classes or access digital resources, the disparity in access to educational technology, particularly for underserved communities, became stark. This urgent need led to the establishment of Edutech Legacy Foundation, Inc. (ELF)—to collaborate with others and bridge this access gap.
At ELF, our mission is clear: to make a difference one community at a time. We offer educational technology training programs for youth and adults, providing them with software, hardware, and curriculum-based instruction. Our approach involves establishing sustainable computer labs and delivering teacher training across various methods and education levels. This mission drives us every day.
We believe we can create a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape by equipping students with the necessary tools to thrive in the digital era. We are honored to be considered for your support and appreciate the opportunity to share our vision.
We use research-based, teacher-trained learning theory to enhance instruction through multimedia integration. We focus on providing software, hardware, and curriculum-based instruction to students of all ages participating in our educational technology training programs.
Our first step is to assist schools in setting up sustainable computer labs. We understand the importance of providing schools with the necessary technology infrastructure for effective learning. Additionally, we aim to establish a comprehensive teacher training model that empowers educators to leverage these tech tools across different teaching methods and education levels.
To ensure that we deliver the best educational technology solutions to our communities, we have partnered with GETL, a renowned Global Ed-Tech Leader, LLC. This strategic collaboration, under the guidance of Dr. Harry Saint Cyr, helps us continually enhance our offerings.
We are deeply passionate about expanding access to educational technology and empowering schools and communities with limited resources. This passion fuels our commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of students and educators alike.
ELF has formed a powerful alliance with a Pre-K to high school in rural Jacmel, Haiti, to establish a computer lab at their school. With 54% of the 326 students being female, this is a project we can all be proud to be a part of. ELF and GETL have conducted a comprehensive SWOT analysis to evaluate the school's readiness and potential to sustain a computer lab for the school and the surrounding community.
Sustainable computer labs in schools will help close the digital literacy and access gap. Equipped with computers, interactive whiteboards, and educational software, these labs are powerful tools that empower students to develop the digital literacy skills crucial for success in today's workforce and beyond.
